江戸の崖　東京の崖　その23

[崖　歌]
石川啄木の処女歌集『一握の砂』が刊行されたのはちょうど百年前の明治43年（1910）12月1日。
この年は、啄木にとっても、日本という新興近代帝国にとっても大きな節目というか動揺期であったのですが、それは措いて、ともかくも母親から感染していた肺結核のため、27歳という若さで東京は小石川区久堅町74番46号（現、文京区小石川5-11-7）の借家で死去するまで、歌集上梓後の啄木に残された時間は1年と数ヵ月もなかったのでした。
その『一握の砂』の冒頭は、「我を愛する歌」なる全5章のうちの第1章のタイトルがあって、

東海の小島の磯の白砂に
われ泣きぬれて
蟹とたはむる

頬（ほ）につたふ
なみだのごはず
一握の砂を示しし人を忘れず

大海（だいかい）にむかひて一人
七八日（ななやうか）
泣きなむとすと家を出でにき

の3首が並び、全部が「涙歌」。
啄木伝説は、こうした涙と貧窮のうちに病で早世した、広額童顔の天才というイメージの上に成り立っているようなところがあります。
むしろ一見、石原裕次郎主演の映画主題歌を想起させる次の4首目のほうが、よほどポエムらしい。

いたく錆びしピストル出でぬ
砂山の
砂を指もて掘りてありしに

もっとも、裕次郎のほうは、「銃刀法」を慮（おもんぱか）ってか、ピストルをジャックナイフに替えてあり（「錆びたナイフ」荻原四朗作詞、上原賢六作曲、1957年。アクション映画は「錆びたナイフ」1958年）。つまりは、こちらは人畜無害な青春反抗ドラマ歌謡。
啄木のほうは、歌集のはじめの部分は「涙」というより「砂」がつづく。たとえば8首目は絶唱ともいえる次の歌。

いのちなき砂のかなしさよ
さらさらと
握れば指のあひだより落つ

ところで、こうしたいわば3行短歌という表現法は、啄木が創始者と言われています。
デジタル全盛、表現方法は「何でもアリ」の時代に突入した今日では、あまり気付かれないことですが、千年の伝統というか権威を支柱とする短歌世界にあって、このことは結構な革新だったはずです。

さて、全5章、551首の『一握の砂』のうち、110首目には次のような「崖歌」があって、これも後世の人の作品種にもなっていたのです。

何がなしに
頭のなかに崖ありて
日毎に土のくづるるごとし

後世の人というのは現代の作家で、名を車谷長吉という。その作は

夏帽子頭の中に崖ありて

ううむ、帽子をかぶせただけではないか。現代俳句協会の現代俳句データベースでは「業（ごう）の作家ならではの一句」とか言っているし、「増殖する俳句歳時記」でも取り上げているけれど、「元歌」に気付いた様子はない。現代俳句も伝統俳句も、俳句という壺のなかで「増殖」しているだけのようです。

50首目には

高きより飛びおりるごとき心もて
この一生を
終るすべなきか

とも言っていて、高層ビルのない当時「高き」はほとんど自然崖のことだから、これも啄木の崖歌としていいのです。

戻って17首目

わが泣くを少女等（おとめら）きかば
病犬（やまいぬ）の
月に吠ゆるに似たりといふらむ

の「月に吠ゆる」は、後に萩原朔太郎の処女詩集のタイトル『月に吠える』（1917年）となり、こちらは天空を仰いで近代詩の一つの頂点をかたちづくったのでしたが、朔太郎自身は1933年の『氷島』で、「日は断崖の上に登り／憂ひは陸橋の下を低く歩めり・・・」（漂泊者の歌）と、地上の崖に回帰することになるのです。

    Its workflow is not the most intuitive, but it’s certainly well suited for file and folder indexing, which can prove to be useful in many cases. One of them is when you are dealing with removable drives or archives that are located on a network which then require usage.
