忠敬堂逝去
本邦唯一の古地図専門店だった「忠敬堂」
田端駅の近くで《江戸・明治・大正・昭和 古地図 忠敬堂》の看板を掲げて、古書店を営んでおられた今井哲夫さんが、9月14日に急逝された。享年80の由。
弘文荘反町（そりまち）茂雄氏の主宰した「文車（ふぐるま）の会」の、スターティング・メンバー「７人の侍」の一人として、父君の代からの古書店（今井書店）を古地図専門店に切り替えて勉強された方であった。
忠敬堂という屋号も、弘文荘の考案だったと聞いている。お元気な折に、もっとお話を伺っておくべきだったと悔やまれるが、４９号まで出された「忠敬堂古地図目録」は、古地図書誌の基礎資料である。
古地図にかかわるものとして、その増刊号をふくめてまとめて世に遺しおくことは重要な仕事のひとつと思っている。
『季刊Ｃｏｌｌｅｇｉｏ』43号（2010年冬号）では、今井さんの紙碑を建てるつもりでいる。
縁あってこの業界に入ったばかりの頃、古地図で有名なお店をネットで調べ、忠敬堂さんの存在を知りお店を訪問致しました。
古地図の古の字も分らない私の質問に、親切にお答えいただき丁寧に説明して下さった事を懐かしく思います。
折を見て、またご訪問させていただこうと思っておりましたのに・・・残念でなりません。

病気のことは本人には知らせていなかったとは、ご家族の談。
もう少し、ご活躍のお時間をもてたらとも思いましたが、苦痛と不安に縁なく逝かれたのはなによりと思われます。
